Despite the fact that most of our customer agencies provide similar types of services to their constituents, we recognize that the processes and staff requirements of each agency will differ dramatically. For this reason, we instituted a flexible training program that can be tailored to meet your specific needs.
Flexible Training Programs
We have provided training services to customers ranging from small, five-person agencies up to large, multi-site organizations with hundreds of users. Some have wanted to convert quickly from their legacy system and requested very basic skills training. For these customers, getting live on DAMION quickly was a priority, and the more advanced training was left for a later date. Others have wanted the in-depth courses that allowed their users to benefit from all of the functionality our system has to offer from the initial "go-live."
System Administrator and Standard User Training
Our training program is segmented into two main tiers, each of which is aimed at supporting the different functions of the DAMION suite. The System Administrator training provides the agency's Application Administrator(s) with the skill required for system administration tasks such as adding new users, assigning security and maintaining code table values. The participants in the class may be a combination of information technology professionals, trainers and office administration users.
The end-user training is geared towards the general customer population that will use the DAMION system for query and data retrieval or data entry. The Standard User population is comprised of two separate groups:
- Basic User: A basic user is a user that performs little to no data entry, but is skilled at query and data retrieval.
- Intermediate User: An intermediate user is a user who performs data entry, and is skilled at data retrieval
Train-The-Trainer
For those agencies that decide to take it upon themselves to train their user base, we offer a Train-The-Trainer (TTT) program, which provides qualified individuals to achieve DAMION certification. Constellation's TTT Program has been developed for a customer's on-site trainers to become familiar with the DAMION products as well as with the teaching aspect of the DAMION products using an instructor-led model. Trainers begin by taking the standard advanced training sessions and then, they are introduced to training strategies for teaching DAMION. Training takes approximately seven to ten days depending on the number of customer trainers in each class.
Webinars
Our customers also have the opportunity to brush up on certain features and functions of DAMION on a regular basis through our monthly webinars. In order to get the most out the rich functionality we loaded into our software, our customers can take advantage of refresher training that will allow them to apply existing or new features to their agency's processes. During these one- to two-hour long seminars held by simultaneous conference call and web demonstration, our customers take the opportunity to ask questions of our certified instructors and, more particularly, of their peers who may be using a different approach to some of the functionality.
Each monthly webinar brings a new topic, as suggested by our customer base, to the forefront.
